The Pre-Medical studies at ISAS aims to give insight about the various prominent fields of study in the world of medicine. When the students dream of joining the medical field to help and protect lives they dream big. To strengthen their drive, clear doubts and avoid disappointment the Pre-Medical studies program offers students a case-study based instruction where they have to examine, diagnose and perform laboratory tests. These practices bring them closer to the nature of their future routine and workplace.
Pre-Medical students take a set of three courses and an AP Biology course:
- Introduction to the medical field with a general overview on dentistry, veterinary medicine and nursing. Students are also exposed to anatomy and physiology with practical visitations to clinics, universities and hospitals.
- Introduction to pharmacology, epidemics, pandemics and psychology of patients.
- Introduction to building individual portfolios where students short list universities they plan to apply to with admission requirements and details about the major of study. Students also learn about all the organizations that exist and lead the field.
