Al Mawakeb Schools and International School of Arts & Sciences (ISAS) celebrated the Arabic Week, an initiative led by Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA).

 
As part of celebrating the country's rich cultural and literary achievements in the Arabic language, students of Al Mawakeb School, Garhoud welcomed the famed Emirati writer and poet Ms. Noura Al Nouman. Author of Ajwan, Qutta Qutna (Cotton the Kitten) and Kunfuth Kiwi (Kiwi the Hedgehog) amongst others, Ms. Noura engaged the young audience with her inspiring journey in literature and shared tips on effective storytelling.
In the same vein, ISAS hosted Ms. Manal Al Ghadani, an Emirati writer specialized in children's literature, and author of Tareek El 7areer, Amirat el Qamar (the princess of the moon), Ab7ath 3an Saddeq (looking for a friend), involved the young readers while reading for them and exchanging views about the Arabic stories. 
AMSI schools continue to combine their efforts with KHDA to inspire students to hone creativity and contribute to the literary fabric of the United Arab Emirates.
